Jason Kao Hwang and Fred Lonberg-Holm perform violin and cello improvisations in the middle of Thomas Hirschhorn’s World Airport, surrounded by small cardboard airplanes, large aluminum foil spoons, and partitions covered with news clippings.

Jason Kao Hwang (b.1957, Waukegan, Ill.) is New York-based  composer and musician who plays violin and viola and who explores the similarities between improv and traditional Chinese music.

Fred Lonberg-Holm (b.1962, Wilmington, Del.) is a Chicago-based cellist, improviser and composer.
