Peter Rehberg (aka Pita) premieres Get Off—the follow-up to his Get Out (1999) and Get Down (2002), and a work destined to become a landmark of digital music.
Peter Rehberg (b.1968, London, England) co-founded the influential Mego label in 1994, and soon after began recording under the name Pita. His first solo release, Seven Tons for Free, came out in 1996, melding noise with techno. He has collaborated live and in the studio with Ramon Bauer, General Magic, Jim O’Rourke, Christian Fennesz, Kevin Drumm, Russell Haswell, Sonic Youth, Mika Vainio, Zbigniew Karkowski, Marcus Schmickler and AMM, and is a member of M.I.M.E.O., the 12-piece electronic orchestra chaired by Keith Rowe.
